From Manhattan

By Subway
All of Manhattan’s West Side trains converge within a block of the Garden. You can reach it from:

  • at 34 St-Penn Station at 8th Avenue
  • 34 St-Penn Station at 7th Avenue
  • at 34 St-Herald Sq station, just a block away from the Garden at 6th Avenue

By Bus
You can use the M10 or M20 bus routes, which run south on 7th Avenue and north on 8th, or the M16 or M34 which run east and west on 34th Street, a block away from the Garden.

From the Bronx

By Subway
From the Bronx, you can reach the Garden by taking the

  • to 34 St-Penn Station
  • to 34 St-Herald Sq

By Express Bus
Many Bronx express buses travel to areas near Madison Square Garden. You can take the BxM2 down 7th Avenue to 34th Street (return service on 6th Avenue); BxM3, BxM4, BxM6, BxM7, MxM7A, BxM9, BxM10 to 5th Avenue and 34th Street (return service on Madison Avenue); take the M16, M34between Madison Avenue and 7th Avenue.

By Commuter Rail
All Metro-North Railroad trains that serve Bronx stations travel toGrand Central Terminal. From Grand Central, take the 42nd Street Shuttle to Times Sq-42 St, then the to Penn Station-34 St.

From Brooklyn

By Subway
If you’re leaving from Brooklyn, take the

  • to 34 St-Penn Station
  • to 34 St-Penn Station
  • to 34 St-Herald Sq, which stops a block away from the Garden at 6th Avenue.

By Bus
The X27, X28 express buses will take you to Madison Avenue at 34th St, where you can transfer to the M16, M34 to 7th Avenue. Return service is on 5th Avenue.

From Queens

By Subway
In Queens, take the subway to 34 St-Penn Station or the to 34 St-Herald Sq, which is a block away on 6th Avenue.

By Bus
The Q32 bus operates along 34th Street in Manhattan, stopping at 7th Avenue, a block north of the Garden.
Queens express buses also serve Manhattan. The QM1, QM1A, QM2, QM2A, QM4 travel along 34th Street and turn north on 6th Avenue, a block away from the Garden.

By Commuter Rail
Long Island Rail Road stations in Queens provide service to Penn Station, right under the Garden, making the railroad one of the best ways to get to the site. Depending on where you start, you may have to change at Jamaica.
